I'm a father of 2 young adults, running a team of automation developers for an institute of higher learning in Singapore.
I picked up running as a hobby only in my later years in life, something totally strange that suddenly clicked in me when I had spent most of my school life not indulged in sports.

It all started when I had to ferry my son and daughter to their sports training sessions 3-5 times a week and had 1-2 hours to kill each time while waiting for them to finish. Doom scrolling made me feel guilty, and one day I decided to try start running round the track just to see how I fared. I found the first 400m bearable, but gave up within the next 4-8 hundred metres. Oh God, I am so de-conditioned!

Fast forward to today, I have done several half marathons (nevermind the timing), several 10k races, and running is always first on my mind when I wake up today although I never always have time for it. I somehow makes time and try to do at least 2-3 times a week and another 1-2 sessions of strength training.

This blog is my way of sharing back to the running community, my journey and the pitfalls, and how I overcame each one. I hope my readers find my posts interesting, helpful, or at worst - amusing.

If you like what you read, do give me a shout or a like etc it will inspire and motivate me to continue writing, sharing and running.
